Liz
Goutevenier-Reyher created the first AR Pillow for
Babies for her newborn son who was diagnosed with
colic (acid reflux disease) when he was only one
week old. For relief, the pediatrician advised her to hold the
baby at a 30 degree angle for a half hour after every feeding.
This was not going to work for long...! She tried propping him
up on pillows but he wiggled off. While talking to her
friends, she discovered that many of their colicky babies were
also suffering from newborn baby reflux and colic. So she
created the first AR Pillow wedge positioning product - the
Acid Reflux Pillow for Babies.

about the origin of the Child/Adult AR
Pillow
9/11 and the creation of the Child/Adult
AR Pillow:
Liz's husband, Kelly Reyher, is a 9/11
survivor -- he is only 1 of 10 people who survived the
collapse of Tower 2 who was on or above the 78th floor when
the plane hit. He worked for AON Securities which was on the
100th Floor.
He managed to escape and led each of
the 9 other survivors down and out to safety . . .
barely escaping the tower collapse -- by minutes!!
-- He had to run at top speed to avoid the tower and
debris hitting him although the dust cloud overcame him. He
then stayed to help the First Responders. As a result, he
suffers from the same respiratory issues that other first
responders suffer as a result of
9/11.
The reason this story* is being mentioned is that Liz's husband
kept stealing the baby's pillow, removing the harness and
using the 30 degree wedge pillow because he discovered that it
improved his
own breathing/sleeping!
Since her daughter was suffering from problems
with her adenoids and allergies, Liz jimmy-rigged a baby
pillow for her, as well!
That was it -- the idea of manufacturing and
selling a Child/Adult AR Pillow to alleviate acid reflux,
breathing issues, post-surgical, etc. etc.
